Yesterday was a big day for the Lickliter's!
In the afternoon, Daddy and Mommy went to Central Baptist for our 20 week ultrasound.
Baby Bean was flipping and rolling around, all excited!
The ultrasound tech took pictures of Baby Bean's brain, heart, spine, arms and legs. Baby's heart rate was 148 and he weighs in at a whopping pound already!
Look closely at the top of the picture... Baby Bean's leg and foot are bent up so he could see them!
After checking to make sure Baby Bean was all healthy, the ultrasound tech was ready to direct our attention to...
The main event... so to speak!
It's a BOY!
Baby Bean is a boy, no doubt about it!
Daddy had taken a peek and thought he saw signs of a boy early on in the ultrasound, but Mommy was surely surprised!
After our ultrasound, we went to see Dr. Ashmun. Both mom and baby got a clean bill of health. We'll go back in September for our 24 week check up and one of the glorious sugar tests to test for gestational diabetes.
We couldn't wait to tell Waverly that she was going to have a baby brother!
A Brother?
If you ask her if she wants a baby brother, she says "No". Its funny, but that's her answer to everything right now! We just hope baby brother doesn't get his feelings hurt!
Hi, there baby! Waverly even wore blue for the occasion!
I think Waverly will be a great big sister to her little brother!
