Happy Halloween, Y'all!

Happy Halloween, everyone!

My little cowboy and cowgirl have been so excited for halloween!
Both kids love all of the decorations.  We have had crafts and pumpkins and cartoons all about Halloween!

My little country kiddos were ready to trick-or-treat!
Both Wavy and Harlan liked their cowboy hats.

We visited baby Gail's and Aunt Phyllis, where the kids got some treats!
We also went to Abby's church.  There were so many kids out and about, but
we found Abby for a quick picture!

We hope everyone had fun, got lots of treats and a few tricks!

Healthy as Halloween!

Harlan's latest well check just happened to be scheduled on Halloween!
He was such a super good boy during his check up.
He was tickled to get a new book from our favorite nurse!
Big sis even got a new book too!

Harlan's measurements were great and he is right on track with all of his milestones.
He sure is a happy boy!

'Cause that's how we play!

Just some good old fashioned play time!

Harlan being spoiled by Baby Gail.

Waverly tucking her baby doll in for a 'nappy'.

Harlan likes to farm in his room with all those animals and tractors and such!

A Little Ride, a Little Country, a Little Namesake

Just in case no one's heard, Daddy is really into rock crawling, 4x4 buggies!
This is his bad ride!

This picture was taken at Horseshoe Bend, one of our favorite spots to ride!
Dean had made me climb out, knowing that it was likely going to roll over, which it did -
3 times!

Guess who's driving?

That's right!  Momma ain't scared!

Wavy isn't either.  She likes to ride in the buggy, most days.
She talks about daddy's big ol buggy all the time.

Yeah, we're cool like that.

We spent a night in Harlan County for the Fall Crawl.
It was so much fun, and so very beautiful.

Rocky Ridin'!

We rode to the tip top of Black Mountain.  I was a little nervous about being up so high!

It was breathtaking!  What a view!
Before now, I had never seen this part of our state.  Harlan County is beautiful.
You can see in this picture how the houses are built wherever they could get a flat spot, or get a bulldozer in to make one!

Nothing like a little country!

Something 'bout a truck

This one is ALL boy!

Harlan loves trucks and cars and tractors.
Well, anything with wheels really.
He takes after his daddy, already taking the tires off all his toys.

Harlan gets away with quite a bit more than Daddy did as a little boy though.
I'm sure Mamaw wouldn't have let Daddy drive his trucks up the curtains!
Brudder has Mamaw wrapped around his little finger!

10 for 10!

10 Months!

Time just keeps passing us by!
Harlan changes more and more every day.
His little personality is growing as much as he does.  He is curious, full of wonder and excitement.  He is so lovable, full of hugs and sweet little actions that pull on your heartstrings.

He's also just a bit rotten!
(He can't hold still for long, that's for sure!)

He is chattering away more now, when sis lets him get a word in edgewise.
He likes to listen to songs and play games like pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo.  He loves to follow sissy around and play with her toys.

Harlan is doing great with picking up his own food and learning to feed himself.  He particularly likes carrots! He is getting very good with his little hands, figuring out how to point at everything, grab hold of smaller toys and get a'hold of everything he's not supposed to!

Little brudder will be walking soon!  We are waiting for those first steps!  He is cruising furniture and standing on his own.  He is getting very brave!

Little Trees for Little Smiles

Ah, dinner time...
that must be everyone's favorite time of day!

Harlan is really enjoying some big boy food.
Of course, Momma still insists on taking it slowly, for fear of allergies, choking, the list goes on and on.
But Brudder loves 'little trees', just like his big sis!

Wow.  She's ferocious!

 But, oh so sweet....

Puppy Love

Oh, my dear Harley!
A little age looks good on him, don't ya think?

Waverly loves her "buddy Harley".

Harley is 10 years old now.
Doesn't time fly?
He's not quite as fast as he used to be, but we still let him win the race every now and again.
He is the best dog.  He loves kids and lets Waverly and Harlan roll all over him.
If he gets tired of playing, he just gets up and wanders off out of their reach!

He sure is a special part of our family!

A Crafty Halloween

We are a family that loves projects!
It keeps us busy and its a great keepsake for Mommy!

Since Halloween creeps ever nearer,
we spent the day painting!
