I soak up any one-on-one time I can get with these

sweet little ones!

Today, a lunch date with my main man! 

He picked Huddle House, 

so it was waffles for us! 

We had a few minutes of play time, too! 

His bear was 'walking a tight rope', 

like int he circus.  So imaginative!

Happy Birthday, Sarah!

Happy birthday to cousin Sarah!

I can't believe she is 14 years old! 

The kids love seeing Sarah almost every afternoon.  

I do believe she spoils them quite a bit! 

 Harlan was happy to see birthday cake, too! 

Silly Safaris!

We have been super excited to go 

see another event sponsored by the library, 

the Silly Safari!

We knew there would be lots of animals to see. 

The first was a Coatimundi, 

which even I had never seen before.  He was so cool! 

He looks like a raccoon, but he has the snout of an anteater, 

and he walks on his feet like a bear does!

The animal educator was super funny. 

He told us all about the scariest animal he had there today, 

which has big ears, and strong feet.... 

a rabbit!

Harlan wasn't as interested...

But he perked up when the big snake came out!

We also loved the giant horned owl, 

whose name was Hoosier.  

He was so funny doing tricks.  Every time the trainer would say "wing",

Hoosier would flap his wings!

All of the kids were allowed to pet the rabbit and the bearded dragon. 

We had never seen a bearded dragon up close before...

It was a fun night and we learned so much about different animals!

Now this is what I call a BALL!

It's taller than Harlan!  

It's also a water sprinkler, which is perfect for a hot day like today!

Wavy wasn't too keen on getting wet though.  

She preferred to watch little brudder get drenched!

We celebrated Dad's Day by having dinner at Applebee's!

Pappy and the whole gang came out, 

and we had a great time!

Now that the kids are all a bit older, 

it's much more fun to go to a restaurant in a big group.  

(When they were younger, it was tough!)

Now we can have conversations! 

Heeeheee!!!  

Happy Father's Day to all the great dad's out there!

While we wait...

What to do on a Saturday night..... Hmmm.... 

We decided it would be fun to go see a movie at the drive-in!

We packed a picnic and lots of stuff to play with while we 

waited for it to get dark.  

Of course, the most fun thing was to make silly faces!

 We had a great surprise while we were there, too!  Aunt Angie, Unc, and the whole family showed up!  We got to watch the movie with our cousins!  

The pictures are blurry, but we had a lot of fun cuddling 

on the blankets and watched the movie.  

Kaboom!

Our local library has a lot of fun stuff scheduled throughout

the summer, so we thought we'd participate in a couple of events.  

It's always fun to get out of the house and learn something new!

Today we went to a show with Dr. Kaboom!

If you haven't heard of him, look it up!  He has some awesome

science projects and he's super funny!

Our favorite science trick was the centrifugal force example, 

where Dr. Kaboom had a glass of water that didn't spill even when he swung it around and around.  The kids were impressed! 

We were so happy to see Baby Ethan there, too! 

We even got to play on the playground with him.

I asked if I could take her picture, 

but she said only through the bug viewer....

So here's my little lady bug....

My Caterpillar walked away, but I got a nice snapshot 

of him too!

Another bunny!  

Harlan needed a pet rabbit, too, 

so we have a new friend.  

I don't think he really has a name yet, but I'm going to 

call him the White Rabbit, 

in honor of our Alice in Wonderland obsession.

Welcome, White Rabbit, welcome.  

On the go!

I don't know where he's going... 

but he's well on his way! 

Oh wait, he says he's going to Walmart! 

I hope he buys Momma something pretty!  :) 

Making Mome Raths

We are still on our Alice in Wonderland kick, 

and can't wait to host a play date with this theme!

One of the many projects we have planned is to create Mome Raths, 

the mythical creatures that appear in the film for maybe twenty seconds.

The kids had a blast creating their own mome raths!

We have a new favorite Mexican restaurant to dine at!

Both kiddos love chips and queso!

And mommy loves dinner dates with these cute kids!
