Happy 1st Birthday, Emery!

Our dear friends the McElroy family invited us to celebrate little Em's first birthday!

We were so excited to visit and have fun at the big birthday party!

Harlan had fun chilling inside with Nana while we played and ate dinner.

Wavy had a blast playing outside with Annie and Tanner and all their friends!

She played on the swing, the little house, and the big jumpy house!

Tanner wanted to play house, too!

The kids all had a blast! Em enjoyed her party and we loved seeing everyone.

Enthusiastic Eater

Harlan is ready for some cereal!

He has tried rice cereal before, just a bit, when we were having difficulty getting his formula straight.  Now that he's older, he's officially ready to have some rice cereal!

He's quite the energetic eater, all hands on deck and ready to pull Mommy's hand closer and get that spoon in his mouth! He is always ready for the next bite-bite!

How does your garden grow?

Wavy loves to do special projects!

Mommy thought it would be fun to grow some flowers.  We bought tiny pots to start our flowers in.  Then we needed soil.  

Wavy thought it was so fun to make dirt!

We added the soil disc and water, then stirred until the mixture looked like soil and was very moist.  We added the soil into the tiny clay pots!

Then we studied the flower seeds!

We talked about how a seed will grow with love, light and water into a pretty flower!

We had marigolds, sunflowers and forget-me-nots!

Wavy added the flower seeds, dropping them one by one and then covering them with soil. 

We put the little plants in her room near the window where we could watch them grow!

I am 4 months old!

4 MONTHS OLD!!!

 Where does the time go? 

Well, Harlan spends much of his day babbling and cooing, though only when Big Sis Wavy lets him get a word in!  He loves to play with toys, both on the floor and in his walkers.  

He is eating some solid foods now.  He likes rice cereal and oatmeal, and he's tried a couple of baby jars of fruits and veggies.  

Harlan's personality is beginning to shine. 

He adores his big sis and watches her every move.  

He loves animals and he's going to be a tv watcher!  

He likes to be read to, but mostly he likes to snuggle for hugs and kisses!

Wavy Approved

Daddy has worked very hard over the past several months building his own ATV / buggy to go rock crawling with.  Wavy liked the final project, since she was almost as tall as the tires!

Night-Night Snoozers

Night-night time is one of my favorite parts of the day!

I love snuggling with the wee ones, fresh from a bath and smelling that wonderful baby scent, as they get all warm and cozy with a bedtime story.

Sometimes Wavy reads to me and brudder...

She has her favorite books, this being one of them, a collection of stories for snoozin'.

Brudder is a very good listener.

Wavy pats his back so that he will fall asleep.  She loves caring for Harlan, and he adores her!

They make a great pair!

Easter Chick-a-dees!

Easter!

Waverly was so excited to hunt for Easter eggs!

We visited Papy and Nana's house for Easter.  Waverly and Tanner had a blast, even though it was a bit chilly, collecting Easter eggs!

With a little help from Dale, the kids found all the eggs!

Papy showed Wavy how to open the eggs and find the treasure inside...

Tanner allready had that part figured out!

Instead of searching for more and more eggs, he took a break to eat the candy!

A big surprise was still in store...

Baby Ducks!

Papy had several baby ducks and so he brought one little fellow up to show the kids. 

Waverly was so pleased!  She loves all animals, and just couldn't get enough of this little guy!

She thought the baby duck was simply wonderful!

Tanner likes the ducks, too!

Poor brudder slept through most of Easter festivities.  He enjoyed his Easter basket though!  He got a big froggy for his room. 

Waverly thoroughly enjoyed her candies!

 It was a great holiday! 

When colors become crayons...

Wavy has always referred to her crayons as colors.

She would ask, "Where's my colors?" when she was ready to draw or color in her books.

Now my baby is all grown up and saying "Where's the crayons?"

She is such a smart cookie!  She knows all of her colors, even the hard ones like peach and sky blue. 

She loves any kind of art work, from drawing circles and lines to coloring her pictures.

I am so proud to see all of the changes as Wavy learns more and more everyday.  She is my own little artist!

He is an eager eater!  He kept grabbing Mommy's hand and pulling the spoon to his mouth.  It was lip smackin' good!

Boys are so messy!  Definitely a bath night! 

Our First Picnic

Since Wavy and Harlan both love to be outside, what better place to have a meal or just sit together than a picnic table?  They had a blast!

Round and Round

Harlan LOVES his exersaucer!

Round and round and round he goes!

He can reach all the toys and hit them to make them spin!

But once he gets a hold of one of the fishies or dolphins, its straight to his mouth for a big bite!  He is teething so he chews on everything!

Standing up tall!

Harlan is very strong!  He likes to stretch out his legs and stand up straight.  He can walk all around in his exersaucer, always moving and reaching out and talking.  Such a big boy!

Helicopters

Remember these great little seeds from when you were little?  I do!

When you throw them up high in the air, they spiral back to the ground just like a helicopter!  Wavy just discovered them!
