The Inspector...

Harlan thought this package of diapers looked rather suspicious...

So he had to give each one a very thorough inspection...

But he decided they were okay.

It's all about quality control.

No-Spill-It!

Gotta love the "no-spill-it" bowl!

Harlan was trying to figure it out...
every twist and turn and the bowl moves to keep the goodies from spilling out.

But, he definitely figured out how to get the cheerios out...

And eventually, he beat the brain-teaser and learned to just shake the bowl until cheerios went everywhere.

Success!

Christmas is coming!

It's time to decorate for Christmas!
We can't wait!

Harlan and Waverly helped Daddy put the tree together and fluff the branches.
It was so funny with their "help"!

We are going to have so much fun this holiday season!
With both kids mobile this year, it should be fun keeping an eye on the Christmas tree and presents!

We are also welcoming Ella the Elf (on a shelf!)
to our family.  Both kids just adore her, and they are ever mindful of their behavior when Ella is around!
(You can see all of Ella's hiding spots on the Ella page above.)

The hired help

Finally!

A little help in the kitchen!

Wait... Is he putting tupperware away?

Just rearranging?

Or just wearing it?

My little turkeys!

In true Lickliter fashion, we had to have some Thanksgiving projects!
We did hand and foot prints to showcase our little bird feet and little turkey fingers.

The kids watched part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with me and then we traveled 'oh-so-far' to next door for dinner with P-paw, M-maw, and Baby Gail came too!

Daddy played football with Wavy.

She was just glad to be outside playing for a bit!
She had a lot of fun trying to catch and toss the football around.

Harlan was much more interested in eating turkey... which he did by the handfuls!

Harlan's first Thanksgiving was a success!
We all had a great time.

Me and Wavy are thankful for kisses!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays!  There's no better time to think of all you are thankful for, and say it!

Memory of Mamaw

Mrs. Carolyn Jo Burriss
1940 - 2012

Mamaw Burriss passed away on Monday, 11/19/2012.
We were able to say our goodbyes, as we knew her time was approaching.
She had good days, as well as the bad, her last few weeks.  She was in and out of the hospital, but was even able to return home for a short stay.

Mamaw was buried on Wednesday at the Riddle Cemetery, where her mother and other family members rest.
She will be missed by our family, but I am glad she is no longer suffering and can finally be at peace.

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When the skies are grey
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
So please don't take
My sunshine
Away

The other night dear
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms
When I awoke dear
I was mistaken
And I held
My head
And cried

Four Generations

Though we certainly wish for a family visit under much better circumstance,
it was nice to see Granny Mamaw, my great-grandmother (Papaw's momma).
We had five generations present, but didn't have an opportunity to have Papaw join our photo.

Granny Mamaw, Pappy, Myself, Waverly and Harlan were able to get a quick group picture though.

Granny Mamaw will be 92, and she is still in good health!
She is such a sweet little lady!

All worked up!

After a morning's work at Momma's office, both little ones were ready for a break!

Waverly worked up an appetite,
but Harlan just needed a nap!

Two for Two

I have two arms, for two babies!

Sittin' on Simba

A caption really isn't necessary here,
but, I guess Harlan found a cooshy seat.  Poor Simba!

Potato, Patato?

Everytime we visit Baby Gail's house,
Harlan goes straight for the potatoes!
A yummy toy, I guess!

Wavy prefers french fries!

Lil' Wildcat

No doubt lost in an umi zoomi cartoon,
Wavy had stole brudder's hat and slipped it on.

I caught her and begged a picture of my silly girl.

Pouty Pucker

This girl is hilarious!
Wavy is always saying something or doing something that can bring a little smile or make you break down in hysterical laughter.
She is so funny, and has no problem telling you she's silly.

This is her best pout...

Which the cure to fixing is to simply push that pouty lip back in!

11 Months Old

11 Months Old!

As Harlan nears the 1 year old mark,
he is growing and growing and growing!
I am ever impressed with all of his new skills and blooming little personality.
He is super sweet and lovey, funny, and energetic as he is walking and running everywhere!

Harlan can wave bye-bye, clap his hands and give high-fives!
We are starting to work on our baby sign language, which is adorable that Waverly can teach brudder how to do all the signs we know.

Harlan likes to point at something he sees and insists that you bring him closer for a look at a picture, or turn the tv on and back to Mickey Mouse!
He will go to his high chair when he is hungry and he loves to sneak into sissy's room and play.  He is super proud of himself for his new climbing and jumping skills, and is getting really good at riding around on the lawn mower and rocking horse toys we have.

Big sis Wavy helped with our picture project this month...
Harlan is "ll months oldo!"

It's almost birthday time!
Momma is busy planning a big birthday celebration for next month.
Almost one... my goodness, the time does fly!

Tickle, tickle, tickle

What's so funny, Harlan?

Oh, I see!  You're tickling daddy's toes!
Bahahaha!
I bet Daddy is loving that, since his feet are super ticklish!

.
Oh, you didn't know that?
Too funny!

My Girl

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside, I've got the month of May.
I guess you'd say,
What can make me feel this way?

My Girl!

I've got so much honey, the bees envy me.
I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees.
                                                                 I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?

My girl....
my girl, my girl!

Toasted!

I'm 11 months old,
let's have a toast!

Harlan has branched out from just having some veggies,
to having just about everything!
His new favorite?
TOAST!

That's right, he's toast.
