If the shoe fits...

Waverly thought playing with Daddy's big shoes was a great game!

Yep, I can tie a bow... or a knot...

Hey, What's in there?

Oh, Daddy! You are so silly!

Wow...

Why wont my foot go in there?

Hmm, I see the problem...

Maybe shaking it up helps?

I give up... Daddy, you can wear them!

Grins & Giggles

Waverly and those books... her favorite toys, that's for sure! I bought her several small books that she just loves, so I sent some to daycare for her friends to enjoy too. She is learning new words from them and has fun showing us the pictures of the ball and the truck! Last night, Waverly and Daddy were so silly! He flipped her upside down and she thought this was the best game ever! She laughed and laughed and would jump so he would pick her up again.

Gonna get your nose, Dada!

Those two... well, at least they amuse each other! :)

On Top of Spaghetti...

Eating with Waverly has been fun lately! She likes to eat table food, and it tastes even better if it came from Mommy's plate! Our little family enjoyed Sunday breakfast at Frishes this past weekend. Waverly colored a nice picture for Daddy...

The good news is we only had to tell her once or twice not to eat the crayon!
Waverly's newest favorite food is spaghetti! I knew she'd love carbs - just like her Mommy!

Waverly is doing great with baby sign language. She is telling us that she wants "more" in the picture above. Its really helpful to know what she wants by using the signs! She knows the signs for more, wash, drink and milk. We are working on the signs for love and eat now.
She didn't mind getting messy...

but then she wanted her hands washed off!

Yummy, yummy, yummy
I got love in my tummy!

My sketti face...

I'm full!
Waverly had a great visit at Mamaw and Papaw's house!
As she said her bye-bye's, Papaw gave her a nice treat for her piggy bank!

She was quick to ask for "more". What a quick learner!

More signs to come!

Me & My Boys

Since Waverly learned how to say "Josh", it has become her favorite word! She says nothing else now. No more Mama, Dada or duck. No more ball or dog. Everything is JOSH!
Waverly loves her Uncle Josh! She will point to his picture and tell everyone that's Josh! She walks over to the window to look for him. But, whenever Uncle Josh is around, she plays very bashful! She is such a stinker!

Waverly is also very much Papaw's girl!
Papaw spoils her rotten, but Papaw is also very spoiled to her, I think!
Those two get along like peas and carrots.
For Waverly's 1st birthday, Mamaw and Papaw bought her a swing set!
Papaw couldn't wait to show Waverly.

Trying out the slide...

I can't wait to see them playing outside this summer!

Cooking Breakfast?

This morning, Waverly's teachers just couldn't wait to email Mommy a picture of her little chef cooking! She was all dressed up in her kitchen gear and was making something tasty in a big pot this morning! I think she's really going to enjoy her big birthday present... everyone will have to wait to see what it is!

My Little Valentine

Waverly's 1st Valentine's Day!

My little sweetie enjoyed her first Valentine's Day! Just think, this is the last first holiday she will have before her birthday!

Mommy and Waverly bought her first valentines day cards to give away to all her friends at daycare. We also decorated a tissue box for her to collect cards in. We had fun putting stickers and bows on the box...

And of course, her stickers matched her Valentine cards!

It appeared to have been a busy heart day at school! All of the children had fun sharing valentines and Waverly's box was full of cards! When we got home, we read all the cards and enjoyed playing with stickers and play-doh!

Waverly liked her Valentine's gifts from Mommy and Daddy, too! She now has several new books, a pair of socks featuring Piglet and magnetic ABC's and 123's!

We had to test these out right away!
Waverly caught on quickly! She watched Mommy stick them on the fridge and then she tried!
Once she got all the letters up, she decided it was time for them to come down! She really enjoyed the noise and clatter of sliding them all over the place!

We have to work on her spelling though...
her reading is quite good!

Happy Valentine's Day to all our family and friends!
Love ya!

Havin' a Ball

Waverly thoroughly enjoyed playing with her new toy from Mamaw and Papaw! She loved the balls popping out every where and the air blowing on her face. She would dance and dance with the music. What fun!

Amost One!

Waverly's birthday is very soon! In preparation, we went ahead and had her 1 year old pictures made. She did great! Its so hard to believe that she is a year old in just a couple more weeks.

She's so cool!

One and already a super model!

Waverly loved trying out the rocking chair! It was hard for her to hold still because she loved to rock in a chair just her size!

Pretty Girl!

Being 1 sure is fun!

My precious angel!

Time for cake?

Yum!
Yay! Happy Birthday to Me!
(Almost...)

My Little Pony

Waverly had the best time last night with her rocking horse!
She has played with it off and on since Christmas, mostly wanting to hear him sing a song and watch his electronic mouth move to the words. She likes to push the pony around and pet his fur. Last night, Mamaw Gail sat her on the pony and she just took off rocking away!
She had so much fun, rocking to and fro! Her little pony has buttons on his ears that make the music start. She would rock and rock, and then when the music would stop, she would too! It was like she couldn't rock unless the pony was singing.

She kept trying to push the button on her own!
She was really surprised to hear her pony whinny!

Daddy says she'll be hard on the wallet when she discovers the motorized rides at Wal-Mart!
