End Of Watch

Sadly, we have lost another Kentucky State Trooper.
Our blue lights are on to respect his service and the loss
to his family.

Both Waverly and Harlan know what the blue light represents
and what it is for.  They ask about "Trooper Eric" often and wonder
how he is doing in heaven.

Rest easy, Trooper, we've got it from here.

Seeing Double!

Just how many Minnie's does one girl need?
The answer we may never know...

Early morning meetings

I'm not sure what this meeting was about,
but they sure do look prepared.

Just keep swimming, swimming

We spent the day at Pappy & Nana's
learning how the fish travel.

Harlan, we've been over this bud.  You've got to be IN the pool to swim.

Wavy is a natural! Swimmer, beauty, you can fill in the blank!

Tanner and Shelby love the water too!

Wavy made friends with Aunt Amy's puppy.

And of course, Harlan had to go check on the pair to see if they needed any company!

The Princess and the Frogs

Waverly caught four frogs in under 2 minutes outside our house...

That's two frogs in each hand, people.  Girl's got mad frog catching skill.

This is her expression why she's trying to convince me that
the frogs are her pets and they really need to live inside with us
so that they don't escape.
Um, nice try sweetie.

Theater Treats!

While we've enjoyed the drive-in theater experience
since the kiddos were babies (I think Wavy saw her first movie at 6 weeks old, and slept the whole time!)
we've never been to the actual movie theater.
Until now...

The kids were excited by the popcorn machine.
I was excited by the new butter station where you can add as much butter as you please!

Harlan was barely big enough to hold the seat down!

Waverly loved the movie, we all did.
We saw Inside Out, and well, Pixar does not disappoint!
Wavy is still talking about her emotions
and making facial expressions to match Disgust and Joy.

The kids enjoyed it so much that
they picked out the next movie for us to see!

Hard to beleive that this pup is almost 13 years old.
We sure do love him!

Mini Sew Club

I have been involved in a Sew Club since January of this year.
It's basically several girls in our thirties who like to sew together.
We take turns playing hostess and choosing a project, everyone
brings their sewing machines and fabric, and we learn how to sew it together!

The little kids, and a first-time sewer, Heather, wanted to have
a mini-sew club to learn some basics! We made pillow cases.
Heather & Abby ironing...

Harlan made it about 20 minutes into sew club
before opting for a cartoon and nap instead. Silly boy...

Amanda helped teach measuring skills!

I braved teaching about pinning...

The finished projects were great!
Everyone had fun!

Wavy was so proud of her pillow case.

She wrote a letter to Baby Gail.
It says, "I know how to sew."

Harlan was equally pleased with his pillow case...
It was just like magic how it was all finished during his nap!

Little Swimmers

Our goal this summer was to spend as much time as possible in a pool!

Chillin'

H took a 5-second nap.

Waverly is swimming!
She can paddle all over that pool, regardless of depth!

We love to swim!

It's exhausting, but so much fun!
