Hoppy, Hoppy Easter

Happy Easter to all the little cottontails everywhere!

We had a big Easter Egg Hunt at Pappy and Nana Betty's this year.
The kids loved finding eggs, but couldn't wait to open them.

They would grab an egg, crack it open, stuff the candy in their mouths or yo-yos in their pockets, and take off toward the next egg!

Not sure why they all lined up....
guess Wavy and Brudder wanted to follow Tanner.

Uncle 'Map' helped Harlan unwrap his candy,
and taught him not to eat erasers...

Tanner was super-silly!
Too much candy, perhaps?

Inspecting the goodies!

Wavy enjoyed her first candy bracelet!

Miss Shelby had a good time too!

She even found time to practice her yoga moves!

Tattle-Tales

Wavy: "Momma!  Momma!  Brudder dumped out a
whole basket of his tractors!  His room is a mess!"

Me: "Um, Wavy, I don't think you have any room to talk..."

Bubble, Bubble, Pop!

We are ready for warmer weather and sunshine!

The kids love to be outdoors,
and bubbles are the favorite activity of the moment!

Wavy learned to blow bubbles last year,
and Harlan can too!
Wavy has since developed her talent...
Now she blows BIG bubbles!

And Harlan gets to pop them!

Doctor, Doctor! Give me the news!

A double well check!
What was I thinking?

Both kids were due for check ups, being
16 months and 3 years old.

Luckily, the doctor would see them at the same time,
and even more luckily, they were well-behaved!

Both kids checked out healthy and happy.
Though someone was a bit shy,
they showed off how much they love each other!

After some of those awful sticks for Brudder,
each of them received a book for being so good and being so healthy!

Home Inspiration

I have become quite crafty,
thanks to my Pinterest addiction.
Here are some things that I've accomplished around our house.

"Do something amazing."
What better advice for a child?
This phrase is stenciled above the doorway to the kids' rooms.

In the hallway between the kids' rooms,
you'll find an array of their recent artwork.
I love having a place to display their creativity and progress as little artists!

Ok, I know, I know.
This isn't something pretty and fancy.
But I did spray paint all of my vents and they look brand new!
I was even happier that this project only cost me $3!

I changed our wreath on the front door for Spring.
I simply took off the Christmas decorations I'd had up,
and hot glued some pretty flowers to the base.
Then I wrapped twine around a big letter "L" for Lickliter.
Easy and awesome!

Floating bookshelves in the living room.
Totally cool.

A picture frame turned dry erase board.
We use this to list 1 thing we do everyday for our marriage   Sometimes funny, sometimes cute, and always a good thing.

This sign is currently in the hall way,
but when the play room is all set up the way its planned to be,
then I will move it to the new room.

This is one of my favorites.
What a difference a day makes
includes all of our birthdays and our wedding.

There are many more projects complete
and many, many more planned!

Me & my Truck

From birth, this child has been all boy!
He has taught himself the noises a truck makes,
a tractor, a car, a dump truck.
He is all into transportation!

And always good for a laugh!

Cubed

Waverly found a use for the laundry basket cube.

My little angry bird in a cube.  How sweet!

Hello?!?

All of the girls got together for a Mary Kay party at cousin Katie's.

Miss Shelby made sure to call everyone.

Wavy and Harlan had fun playing with their cousins.
Shelby, Tanner and Elli had fun too!

Silly Wavy modeled her hat for everyone.
It was a great time to have all the kids together!

Baby, Baby

Harlan likes his shows just as much as big sis does.
His favorite is baby signing time.

He's really good at his signs now.
He knows the signs for hat, more, milk, eat, drink and car.
We are working on more signs!

He's very humble.  He does clap for himself though.

Mommy's Monkey

Wavy sure can be a silly monkey!

Check out the sock monkey house shoes!

She can go bananas, too!

Lil' Mischief

Harlan can be a little mischievous...

He's got the game all figured out too.

If he's into something he's not supposed to be,
such as playing with the tv remote,
he can give this sly grin that gets any adult to falter in discipline.

His latest trick is to dump all the toys from the basket
onto the floor, and then climb in!

Silly boys.  Tricks are for big kids!

My Baby Gail

Mamaw, ahem, "Baby Gail", sneaking in some cuddles!

Sunny days

The kids love to play outside,
so any time its a little sunny,
we are out in the yard.

Wavy likes to ride her 'bike',
aka tricycle,
and Harlan is very interested in rocks.

They both like to ride the 4-wheeler though!

French Fries & Pickles!

Family dinner with me and the kids!
One of our favorite places is Frishes!

Wavy loves french fries no matter where we go,
but she especially likes the fries at Frishes.  She ate a good dinner of fish and fries.

Harlan tried a burger,
and for the first time,
a pickle!

He liked it!

A silly straw to seal the deal and its a successful night out on the town!
