Tricker Treatin'

Saturday, Mommy and Waverly visited Mamaw Gail at the campground.
It was a great day, filled with tons of Halloween activities.

Waverly had a blast learning to play hide and seek with Mamaw in the camper.  She thought it was so funny to jump out and surprise Mamaw.

Waverly has been practicing how to say "trick-or-treat" and "Happy Halloween".

She was sure to tell Mamaw and Go-Go 'trick or treat' to get her goodies.
She was quite happy with her new Halloween toys and books.

Someone is a little spoiled...
Later, we walked to the pavilion for the costume contest.  Waverly was more interested in the boats, the ducks and an airplane!  We didn't stay long at the contest, but we enjoyed seeing everyone's costumes.
Waverly dressed up as the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" for Halloween this year.  Her purple and black dress matched her "spider" hair bow!
Soon it was time for trick-or-treating!  Waverly wasn't sure about what to do, so Mommy and Mamaw taught her.  She whispered "treat" to the neighbors, and had Mamaw go get her candy for her.
At the next stop, Waverly only cared for the decorations.  She stood there for the longest time, just to say "Hi Ghost" as he disappeared and returned every minute or so.  She had so much fun!
It was a spooky weekend!  We can't wait for Halloween!

Love "You"

My baby girl is 20 months old today...
It is bittersweet.  I am so very proud of all her accomplishments, each milestone she crosses, each new task learned.  She impresses me every day.

Just in the past two weeks, Waverly's verbal skills have sky-rocketed.  She has been adding new words to her collection and repeating every word she hears.  She also began using phrases.  Now she will tell us that the cows are "over the hill".  She says, "I don't know" and "Oh dear".  She's getting very good with using different tones to inflect different meanings with her words, too.  We all adore the way she says "noooooo..." when trying to fit puzzle pieces and "well-ll" when she gets the piece in the right place.

For a long while now, we have been telling Waverly to say "I Love You" to Mommy and Daddy, at least at night-night.  She has alwasys replied with the cutest "you" instead of the entire phrase.  This week, however, she began saying the sweetest "love you" at night-night.  Another sign that she is growing up...

Waverly is doing wonderful at learning to ride her "bike" (which used to be known as a "ride", so another new word has been applied), perfecting her "jump" and learning flips, tucks and rolls.  She begs to do "weeee's", which means a toss in the air.

Over this past month, she has mastered all of her puzzles, even the harder ones!  She is doing great with her arts and crafts, coloring and painting too!  She likes to play with trucks just as much as she does her baby dolls.  She is very imaginative!

As hard as it is to beleive that she is already 20 months old, her accomplishments are there to prove it.  Waverly is such a delight.  Love you, little girl!

Boo-tiful Baby

Its almost that time of year again... Halloween!
This being one of our favorite times of the year, we really go all out for Halloween.

Waverly loves her new Halloween outfit, complete with a big spider hair bow!
She has been helping Nana Pam make this treat bag to carry for Trick-or-Treating.

This week, we have really been working to teach Waverly how to say "trick or treat".  She will repeat each phrase, but when I ask her to say "trick or treat", she always answers with "TREAT!!!".  She sure knows what she wants!

My little one is trying not to smile here... but she gives in and grins!
She sure is my boo-tiful baby!

we'll always be friends forever

It seems that Waverly and her best friend Abby do everything together.  They play together all day at Nana Pam's, watch cartoons together, have snack time together, and even take naps together!

Waverly loves her little Abby!  She pronounces her name as "Ab-eye" and it is so adorable!  Abby follows Waverly everywhere, always keeping an eye on her.

Those girls make cute best friends!

See-See Me Now!

What a big weekend!
Waverly was super excited this weekend because it was her first over-night visit away from Mommy and Daddy!  She had her first sleep-over at the grandparent's house!

After hugs and kisses, Mommy and Daddy left for a date night.  Waverly didn't seem to mind at all!  She was happily playing with Papaw and Mamaw when we left.

As many grandchildren are, Waverly was quite spoiled during her visit!  I heard that they all went out to dinner, where Waverly ate her favorite meal, spaghetti!  Then it was time to shop, shop!  Waverly took Aunt Re on a tour of Wal-mart, where they picked out lots of goodies!

Waverly was super impressed when she found the "bike" aisle!  She convinced not only Aunt Re, but Papaw too, that she needed her own big kid bike!

Waverly is doing a good job of learning to ride her tricycle!  She can reach the peddles and she trys hard to go!

It sure seemed like Waverly had a great time!  She talked on the "hello"...

She played with her books and puzzles...

And she made up her own games!  She loves trying on Mamaw's reading glasses...
We hope she doesn't ever need glasses of her own, but she sure does love to play with them!  She calls her glasses "see-see's".  Its adorable!

Waverly was happy to see Mommy and Daddy!  We brought back a couple of goodies since she was such a good girl and because we missed her!  She loved her new jammies....

It was big hugs all day long on Sunday!  She was a happy girl to spend the day with family.  We had dinner with Mamaw and Papaw and Aunt Re.  It was so fun to see Waverly riding her bike and being a big kid.  Just one night away and it seems like she is all grown up!
Not to worry, there's more fun to come!

Mornin' Blues

Good Mornin' everyone!

Waverly was up and at 'em this morning, even though she might have preferred sleeping in!
She woke up a little earlier than Mommy usually wakes her, so after getting ready, she settled on the sofa to watch some Blue's Clues!

In motion!  Yes, we all have to do the Blue's Clues dance!

Waverly wasn't too keen on picture taking this morning though...

I think she thought I was interrupting her favorite show!
I still got big hugs though!

Love at First Sight

Today Mommy and Daddy went to our 30 weeks doctor appointment to check in on Baby Bean.  He is doing wonderful!  Dr. Looff measured the baby bump and then let us listen to his steady heart beat.  Everything seems to be going well!

After the check up, we went to ultrasound for attempt #2 for a glimpse of our little man.  Success!  Baby Bean turned around for us and we were able to see his sweet face!

Baby Bean tried to play camera shy... he kept his hand in front of his face most of the time!  As soon as his image appeared on the screen, both Daddy and Mommy said, "He looks like Waverly!"
Baby Bean's heart beat was 129 today!
The ultrasound tech also measured baby again.  Today he weighed in at approximately 4 lbs. 10 ounces!
 Watching his little fingers move.
After some encouragement, Baby Bean moved his hand and we could see his precious profile...
 Hi Handsome!
 A little smile...
 Blowing Bubbles...
Our happy baby!

Such a sweet little one!  It was definitely love at first sight for us!

Pumpkin Pickin'

On Sunday, Daddy, Mommy and Waverly went to Gallrien Farms.
We had been last year to get Waverly's pumpkin, so I think we will make this an annual tradition!

First, we visited the petting zoo!

Waverly was mesmerized by the chickens and ducks.  She fed some corn to the sheep, and then was tickled when the cow got up from his nap just to come see her!
She really wanted to pet the bunnies!  She kept telling them to "come here!".  Daddy held her up so she could see better and she told us that a bunny goes "hop, hop!".
While Mommy waited in line for the hay ride, Daddy took Waverly over to the tower of hay bales!  She loved it!  She climbed up to the very top and they sat there for the longest time, just enjoying the view.
Then we all rode the horse-drawn wagon out to the pumpkin patch!  Waverly got to choose her very own pumpkin, though Daddy pointed her in the right direction.
Mommy was so proud of her for choosing a good pumpkin!

We had lots of fun playing and looking around and riding the horse-drawn wagon.  It was a warm but windy day, so we were glad Waverly didn't blow away!
Happy pumpkin pickin' everyone!

It's that time again, folks!  We've linked up over at Tough Cookie Mommy for the Monday Mingle!  Go visit to see a list of other great blogs and if you are visiting from there, Welcome!

Ghost Feet

One of the Halloween crafts Waverly and I wanted to make are "Ghost Feet".

Waverly was really excited to paint...

She did a great job, too!  She sat quietly and watched as Mommy laid all of our supplies out.  She held her foot still and let Mommy apply the paint, and then gave an "OH!" of surprise to see her footprint on the paper.

Waverly was so pleased over painting this morning, she wanted to share with Elmo, too!

 Waverly's Ghost Feet...
We think it was a great addition to our collection of Waverly's Halloween Art...

Happy Birthday, 'Lil Pumpkin

Waverly's cousin, Tanner, turned 2 this past weekend!
The little stinker avoided Aunt Sam's camera most of the day...

but I managed to get one picture of him as he ran by!

We had a combined birthday and pumpkin painting party.  All the little ones had a blast!
Waverly was quite taken with Emery...
She just adores babies!  She also wanted to hold cousin Elli, who was busy napping during the party.

Waverly and Annie played together for a little bit, too!

The kids were thrilled with the bouncy house and jumping toys.  Waverly had so much fun!

She has now mastered how to jump!  After practicing on the trampoline, now she is getting really good at =jumping and hopping.  She loves to jump!

I love the hair style... It was statically charged, so to say!

The kids stopped playing long enough for some pumpkin painting!  One of Waverly's favorite things to do is paint, so this was right up her alley.

She is very serious when working on any kind of art, and pumpkin painting was no exception!  She carefully chooses her colors, mixes them up and she's not shy about adding lots of colors to her canvas...

Waverly and Tanner also painted this pumpkin for brand new cousin Jacob!
We'd like to wish Tanner a Happy Birthday,
and a happy Fall to all!
