Schnoodle's don't snore

Or, at least, Charlie doesn't.
But he's an excellent snuggler.

In Style

She dressed herself...
gymnastics uniform,
Christmas tutu,
and those boots with the fur.

What can I say?
Work what ya got, sweetheart.

T.M.N.T Hand-prints!

We were about due for another craft
and hand prints are some of our (ahem, mine)
very favorites!

Since the favorite of the moment is
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
(hello flashback to my childhood)
we made our very own!

They turned out great!
Harlan was thrilled with his Donatello, his favorite!

And I have the perfect place to display all of our art...

To exemplify Picasso's wise phrase,
look at this picture Wavy drew for me.
It's a picture of the whole world.

She diligently pointed out to me
"the whole world", "Kentucky" and
our "home".   Everything is is a rain storm.  Didn't you know?

New Tricks!

Look what we learned how to do!

Yes, you are seeing this correctly.
They have literally learned how to walk up the walls backwards.

But they are so proud!

Charlie's first snow!

Charlie says, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"
He had an absolute blast running around playing!

Selfies before School!

We love enjoying a few minutes
of Mommy & Me time
while waiting for time for school.

We usually end up being goofy,
making up silly stories,
and taking funny pictures!

Sometimes we try not to make silly faces,
but even then, it's hard not to laugh!

I can't wait for Wavy to open her lunch box today!

Yep, I'm that mom.
You know, the one that draws on your banana so that
you may be embarrassed with all your friends at lunchtime.
I just couldn't help myself!

Learning

Even though we have preschool now,
it's still fun to do our own "homework" every once in awhile!

These dry erase learning to write books have been the best
tool for the kids to practice handwriting!

Wavy is working on her ready for writing book
and Harlan is learning some basic shapes for beginning to write letters.
What's even better than that?
They ASK for practice time!

My Dinner Dates!

We love going out to eat!
Often our favorite place is Huddle House,
breakfast fast and simple!

Today we stopped for toys at the dollar tree
before going to eat.
After we ordered, we had just enough time to play with our new toys!

These two kids make the perfect dinner dates!

On top of spaghetti

Our friends came over to play and stayed for supper!

It was so much fun to have our friends come by.
Mommy's high school friend, Genie,
has moved back to KY with her 4 kids!
(Count 'em, that's right, FOUR).
Genie has her hands full, but she has some pretty great kiddos!

One of the coolest things is that
Waverly and Evaeigh are in the same class at preK.
It's awesome that Genie and I were friends in school
and now our daughters are friends in school!

While the kids played and danced
and shared toys,
Genie and I drank cups of coffee, chatted,
and made a HUGE vat of spaghetti!
Not to worry, with that many kids,
they ate every bit of it!

Snoozin'

The cutest napper ever.

All by herself...

Check out this girl!
She walks from the car drop-off line
all the way to her classroom
all by herself!
(Ok, so the teacher makes sure she is seen safely inside,
but then she's on her own!)

Look it, Linda!

Have you seen this video yet?
It's so adorable!

And now,
you can check out my very own little cupcake thief!

After he stole the cupcake,
and got caught,
I expected him to break into "look it, honey!"
at any moment to save his hiney from a pow-pow!

Give a dog a bone

Look at these sweeties!
Charlie & Mandy are best friends!
In fact, we love Mandy so much,
we may just adopt her from Baby Gail!

Can we adopt Baby Gail, too?

Goodnight Moon

Daddy came by to visit
and the kids convinced him to play their
 new matching game,
Goodnight Moon!

Just wishin' and hopin' and dreamin'

And what are they wishin'
and hopin'
 and dreamin'
for?
COOKIES!!!

The Big 0-3!

Ah, another well check for the books!

Harlan is a growing 3 year old!
He is right on target with his size,
and even smarter than most kids his age!

This will be his last dr. visit in the baby clinic,
and he gets to move upstairs to the big kid doctors!

Look at my very own Michelangelo!

Can't he stay little for just a little while?!?

Oh, the places you'll go!

Waverly's first day of preschool!

She is so very excited to go to school!
She chose her own outfit for the first day,
picked out her own backpack at the store,
and even fixed her own hair!

If she was nervous,
it sure didn't show!
She posed in front of this poster at school!

Just as it says,
"We're off to great places,
Today is our day!
Our future is waiting,
so... we're on our way!"

Dr. Seuss says it right,
it's a big day!

I walked her to the classroom and she met Ms. Katie,
her teacher.
We learned where to put her backpack and supplies,
in her very own little cubby!

And then she was off!

Brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye,
but she didn't need me at all!
She was ready to meet some new friends
and learn something today!

"And will you succeed?
Yes, You will indeed!
(98 and 1/4 percent guaranteed).
Kid, You'll move Mountains!"

~Dr. Seuss

Sibling Love

Jump!

We celebrated our friend Sophie's 3rd birthday
at a new jumping place in Georgetown!

They had a huge slide!  The kids all loved it!

Lots of space and lots of jumpy play houses!

After jumping to their hearts content,
these two found the play area.

With a kitchen and a train set,
I had to peel them away for cake and ice cream!

Happy Birthday Soph!

Ringing in the New Year

We began this New Year right...
With cuddles, snuggles, and naps!
