That's right, folks! While its fun to be one, turning a year old brings with it another well check at the Peds office. So, off we toddled to see Dr. Spath! Waverly got to "sit in the boat" (also known as the baby scale). She weighed in at 25 pounds, 9 ounces, which places her in the 95th percentile. She measured 28 inches long, with is approximately the 70th percentile. The nurse let her try on the Princess Crown (also known as a tape measure!) and her head circumference was in approximately the 80th percentile. All in all, our little one measured up well!
Dr. Spath came in and was generally pleased with Waverly's health. We talked about nutritious meals and continuing Waverly on breast milk. We also received a sample of fluoride-free toothpaste to brush those tiny toothers with!
Then it was time for those awful boo-boo sticks!!!
Poor Waverly had three shots, one for chicken pox, one for Hep A and the third was the last in a series for the Polio vaccine.
Poor Waverly! She was so mad! She just couldn't believe that the bumble bee would actually sting her!
In the car right after leaving the doctor's office...
She was still mad, even her new book and dolly didn't make her feel any better!
She was asleep before we even left the parking lot, though, and had a real good nap and a dose of Tylenol for her troubles.
After the day I've had, I need the LARGE cup of coffee!
The girl knows what she wants!
Daddy felt bad for the wee one when he saw her Snoopy band aids! He gave her an M&M to make her feel better. She willingly took the orange candy, then gave us her best lemon face! It must have been good, though, because she wanted a blue one next!
(Mommy put the M&M's away after that!)
