While Wavy and Harlan

were busy being spoiled silly

by grandparents in Animal Kingdom, 

Dean and I visited MGM and Animation Studios. 

But first, a picture in front of the Tree of Life!

As an interesting side story... 

We had honeymooned in Disney back in 2006 after we were married.  

We have a cute picture of us all lovey-dovey in front of this very tree. 

It seemed only fitting to celebrate the end of our marriage in similar fashion. 

We thought a high five would be fun!

Luckily, we are great friends and can hang out together and be there for our kids. 

So, as the kids were watching The Lion King show, 

Dean and I visited MGM Theaters. 

Dean agreed to watching Beauty & the Beast, my very favorite, 

provided that it brought us close to an ice cream shop.  

It worked well for both of us!

Then we went to Animation Studios. 

It was so awe-inspiring to see the Academy Awards showcased. 

We even sat through an animation class! 

A real Disney animator taught some basic drawing 

techniques so that we could draw our own characters!

This was one of my favorite things about the whole trip!
