The Last Time

Daddy and Mommy both agree that with our wonderful daughter Waverly and the upcoming addition of our son Harlan, our little family is complete.  We do not plan to have any more children, so this is the last time for several of life's experiences...

This is the last time Mommy will be pregnant.  Even in all of this misery, I still love being pregnant.  I love my big baby bump, the feeling of a baby alive and kicking in my tummy.  I love that I had a part in creating this little person, who will bring so much joy to our world soon.  I love that I get to be the first home for him, the one who nurtures him, who sings songs and soothes him with a heart beat. 

 This is the last time that I will give birth to a child.  The miracle of birth is a life experience that is truly spectacular.  It is indescribable how wonderful, even in pain and confusion, sickness and health, it is still just magic.  It is bittersweet to know that this is the last baby, if all goes according to plan of course! 

For Daddy to be there, to see the birth of his child...  For Mommy to hold the baby for the first time...  For big sister Waverly to meet her baby brother...  We are so looking forward to the first time... as we say goodbye to the last.
