Secrets for Graduation!
I saw this wonderful idea on #Pinterest,
and couldn't help myself!
I ordered two copies of this book,
"Oh, the places you'll go!"
I remember receiving a copy at my own high school graduation.
This project does need quite a bit of pre-planning.
I hope to have every teacher from PreK through High School
sign a book, one for Waverly and one for Harlan.
My best friend had a great idea too!
She suggested that at the end of each school year, when I
have the teacher sign the book, that I put $20 in an envelope and
keep it in the book.
That way, come graduation, I should have quite an accumulation of money for
a great graduation present!
One step farther, I invited all of the grandparents
to add a twenty of their own to the envelope each year!
Now lets just hope my mommy-brain doesn't kick in and I forget
where I keep these hid at except for one or two days at the end of each school year!
Shhhhh... remember, this is a 12+ year surprise!
Don't tell them!
Don't tell them!

PreK Preview
Harlan wants to go to school so badly!
All during our preK screening today, he just kept repeating
over and over,
"I can't believe I get to go to school!"
I was tickled that the Dr. Suess poster was still
on display.
Oh, the places you will go!
Harlan was excited to find one of his favorite books,
The Very Hungry Caterpillar!
We read it while waiting for his turn to go chat with a teacher.
After the fun at school, we went for a mommy & me lunch date!
We had a great day together!
Harlan showing me his T-Rex face!

Some-bunny is cute!
There's a new bunny (or two!) at
Pappy's house, and we love her!
We all had to take turns loving on her.
Look at these 4! Growing up so fast!
Boys can laugh over anything!
And Wavy loves making animal friends!
She kept packing that basket around to keep the bunny near her!

We're Hooked!
We love going to school plays!
The talent that children show at such a young age is truly amazing.
As well as the excitement and magic that such an event creates.
Tonight we are at a local elementary school
to see Peter Pan!
Harlan loved Captain Hook's pirate ship!
I love this look of surprise when Waverly first so Tinkerbell!
She was so excited!
This play was estra special because
our cousin Lacie was cast!
She was one of the pirates on Hook's ship.
Aye, Aye, Matey!

Grocery Shoppin'
These are my two favorite helpers at the grocery store.
I try to get them involved with finding the items on our list.
They like to weigh produce, too!
And yes, H is wearing his pajama top.
Having a 3yo is tough. Don't judge. :)

Muddy Puddles
Best day!
Mom let us play in muddy puddles!
Playing in muddy puddles gets you...
Muddy Feet!
Even outside, they sit side-by-side!
Pickin' Dandelions!
Flippin' Out
We love gymnastics days!
Mastering the balance beam!
Flippin'
Wavy's favorite is the bars!
The best bridge!
Still working on that cartwheel!

On a white piece of paper...
We LOVE art projects!
Anything that involves paint, or glue, or glitter.
Today we painted the moon and stars
that the Easter Bunny brought in our baskets.
Harlan simply adores the book Mouse Paint, by Ellen Stoll.
He is all about mixing colors.
Waverly is busy conforming her art to staying
in the lines, but that hasn't hindered her creativity one bit!

Wild Things
When gymnastics is cancelled,
we don't sit around the house all bummed out!
No way!
We go on an adventure!
This time, we went to the Salado Wildlife Center.
We love seeing all the animals and even
learning a little along the way!
First up, we measured to see how tall
Wavy is compared to a sword fish!
Bigger than our last visit!
Then the kids had to try their hand at fishing.
Harlan weighed his fish to see how big it was!
Outside, we found the quails!
We didn't see any real quails this time,
they must have been napping inside the hut.
But we improvised pretty well!
Waverly was taken with the honey bees...
We looked and looked and finally found the queen bee!
Harlan was quick to find some wheels...
He's a John Deere fan,
but really, anything that goes is right up his alley!
And then check out momma's little birds!
This is the size of a real nest...
well, for a very large bird!

Heads Up!
Time for another hair cut!
This time we had a few minutes to wait before
it was our turn. Harlan made friends with two other
little boys. Then he wanted his hair cut just like theirs!
Yep, he's that stinkin' cute!

I got Eggs... they're multiplying!
How about one more Easter egg hunt?
Mamaw and Papaw were very clever with hiding eggs.
The kids did great finding them,
and thought it was so funny that some of the eggs were hidden so well!
Waverly loves playing with her 'neighbor girls',
the little girls that live across the fence row.
This is Wavy and Summer posing.
What better way to wrap up a holiday
than a visit from Daddy?
That's one happy kiddo!
We hope everyone had a blessed Easter!
If its got wheels...
These kids are not ones to sit still!
If its got wheels, then we ride on!
Harlan spent some time perfecting his back hoe skills.
While Wavy practiced how to drink and drive...
with WATER, everyone! Just kidding there!
And Miss Shelby put safety first
as she peddled round and round!
Counting Eggs
The annual Easter Egg hunt
at Pappy & Nana's was successful!
So many eggs to find!
The kids did great and collected baskets full!
Even though the day was filled with candy,
fun, and family, we all took a moment to thank the lord for our blessings.
We even had goats in attendance to the Easter celebrations!
Bunny Tracks!
Happy Easter!
The Easter bunny visited, as evident by his footprints throughout the house!
He left baskets full of Easter joy,
treats for each girl and boy!
It was such fun following the bunny footprints.
And finding toys in their baskets instead of lots of candy!
Especially light-up toys!
