Olly, Olly Oxen Free

Waverly's Tummy Time at Daycare

My little girl is really something to be proud of! Even in the throws of teething, she is such a happy baby, full of grins and giggles and shrieks of delight. This past weekend was a blast, full of great Waverly moments.

After a restful evening on Friday night, Mommy and Waverly were both ready to go come Saturday morning. Since Mamaw and Papaw were out of town, Waverly and I stopped by their house to take care of the puppy. Waverly was happy to play with her toys there, but she kept looking around for her Mamaw and Papaw!

Then it was off to the 127 yard sales! We went straight to our friend's house, where they were having a big yard sale. Waverly was so happy to visit with Barbara, Melanie and Makenzie. The boys visited for a little bit, but gave in to the heat and took a break for the house! Waverly was also glad to finally meet Russell and give him some of her big smiles.

Loving Makenzie

Waverly just adores Makenzie, and vice versa I think! Waverly would turn her head and crane her neck to keep Makenzie in sight, following her every move. She was tickled when Makenzie went through some stuffed animals and came up with her favorite - Elmo! He even sings the ABC's.

After all the fun, Waverly was ready for a little nap. She fell asleep in the car holding on tight to her yard sale find - a cloth book of her favorite things. Thanks Wileys! We can't wait to play with new toys and read new books!

Saturday afternoon, Waverly napped on the way to Lexington with Mommy and Daddy. We went to the airport to watch Mamaw and Papaw land in the airplane and then drive them home. They had a great time in Cancun! They must have thought about Waverly a lot while they were vacationing, because they brought her a little straw hat from Mexico. Its just like a hat Daddy wore when he was little.

Sunday was a good morning for yard sales, so Daddy and Mommy loaded up the stroller and took Waverly to Harrodsburg. The weather was pleasantly warm, and Waverly did wonderful! Daddy bought her a new-to-us walker with Sessame Street designs. She loves it!

Waverly lasted until noon and then the game was up! She was ready for some air conditioning and a snack. I could just tell in her little whines that she was calling "Olly, Olly Oxen Free" to signal that the game was over!

Just a couple minutes and she's a happy girl!

Singing to Mommy

Waverly all dressed up - her "Little Black Dress".
