Week 11

Our Baby at 11 weeks...
is the size of a lime!

If only Mommy looked like she was carrying around a lime instead of a small watermelon!
Just kidding, Mommy isn't really that big yet, but she feels like it.  Hopefully, eating better and running around after a one year old will help me keep in shape a bit throughout this pregnancy.

Other news on the baby front, our wee one is growing and becoming cuter every day!  Now Baby Bean has actual fingers and toes, is growing hair and forming nails and tooth buds.
Grow Baby, Grow!

Mom and Baby are feeling pretty good!  Waverly is very interested in Mommy's growing belly.  She doesn't quite understand when I tell her there is a baby in there, but she likes to pat my belly and lay her head on it for a rest.  She keeps Mommy entertained, that's for sure!

A Wild Weekend!

We were ready for a wild weekend!
Saturday was busy, but so much fun!
Daddy, Mommy and Waverly went to a mud bog to watch big trucks get dirty!
Waverly wasn't so sure about some of the loud trucks.
As long as her ears were covered up, she just stared at the trucks making their way through the mud.  I would love to know what she was thinking!

Waverly had fun riding around in her stroller.  She loves the umbrella strollers more than the big comfy ones.  She is definitely a sight seer!

We got to see our friends, the Wiley's, and visit for a little while.  Waverly thought it was a blast to play with Melanie's cell phone...
and later, eat Jacoby's chips!

All sugar and spice, this one!

We watched the big trucks having fun out there.  Even though it was a hot day, we still had a blast.  Waverly made some new friends with the young girls in the truck next to us.She had fun giving them all high fives!
Some of the trucks were real loud!  Waverly wanted to be close by Mommy,
but she liked watching them sling the mud!

After the mud bog, we went down to the Expo.
It was so busy this year!  The crowds were like I have never seen there.  We found a relatively crowd-free place to sit down, eat yummy fair food and watch the fireworks.

Waverly loved the fireworks!
She was much more animated than I was able to capture on film, pointing at the fireworks and saying "ooh" and "awww".

We were far enough away to have a great view and not be bothered by the loud "POW!" as the firework show continued.  We decided to sneak out a bit before the finale, letting our little one catch some zzz's in the car and still beating the traffic.

Wonderful Waverly

Pretty & Perfect

Yesterday, Waverly had a doctor's appointment for her 15 month's old well check.

Mommy had a great surprise when she picked up Waverly!  Nana Pam had Waverly all dolled up in a home made dress!  It was just the sweetest thing!  The home made hair bows were cute as can be on the wee one.  She's so adorable!

(Thanks, Nana Pam, for the beautiful dress!  Its a favorite outfit already!)

Waverly was wound up at the doctor's office!  Being a little later than usual for a nap, she was hyper as a firecracker on the 4th of July!  The nurse gave her a new book to read, which was very exciting since it was a Clifford book.

The nurse measured Waverly to see how tall she was, but Waverly just wanted to play with the stethoscope!  Waverly measured at 30 5/8 inches tall, which is just above average.  We measured her head circumference, which was very close to the same as her 12 month check.  She is just below the 75th percentile now.

So, how much does our little butter bean weigh?  We took a walk down the hall at the Pediatrician's office and sat in the "boat" to find out.  Even Mommy's guess was off a couple of pounds!  Waverly weighed in at 27 lbs. 11 oz., keeping her 95th percentile ranking.

                         Growing up!
Yep, Waverly sure is on a fast course when it comes to growing!  Over the past three months, she's gained a couple pounds and grew a couple inches.

Dr. Spath was very impressed with all the words that Waverly knew, which is approximately 40 words now, by Mommy's rough count.  She even showed Dr. Spath a few of her favorite signs, including the sign for cracker, dog and horse!

Dr. Spath gave Waverly a perfect report!  Then it was time for those nasty boo boo sticks.  Waverly needed two immunizations, a DTaP and a MMR.  Those were quick bee stings and then we were "all done".

She fell asleep as soon as she was buckled in her car seat for that long awaited nap!  My pretty princess was all tuckered out!
After a nice, long nap, Waverly was up and at 'em again!  She did really well with the after effects of the shots this time.  A little fussy, but that's to be expected.  All in all, everything went great at the doctor's office and really, what more can you ask for?

Daddy's Shoes

It's been awhile since we've heard Daddy's two cents...

I think all his monies will go toward shoes!
