My First Steps!
Waverly is now walking! She took her first few steps last night. Daddy was playing with her while Mommy was in the kitchen. He called for me and I rushed right into the bedroom. He said, "I think she can walk!".
"I think I can...I think I can..."
Waverly held onto Daddy's little fingers,
then let go with one hand...
then the other! She took a step, then another, and then a third!
She was so proud of herself!
"I can!"
There she goes! She walked to Daddy, then walked to Mommy. She would take about three or four steps before reaching out for a hand. She was so excited that she was trying to run!
Ah, distraction...
Then, after receiving a celebratory hug from Mommy, Waverly caught sight of her book shelf out of the corner of her eye. Off crawling she went, right to her books, and all thoughts of walking were finished for the evening.
What a milestone!
