Big Kid Beds

The concept of sleeping in your own room

in your own big kid bed

isn't easy.  

But, after an initial 10-15 minutes, 

exhaustion won and Harlan was out!

Wavy was a little bit more difficult...

but without the tears.

She chose to sucker us in with sweetness.

This is her "special pet".  

He has no name, just special pet. 

Its her first teddy bear, in this case a Koala bear. 

She sleeps with him every night.  

But, even special pet couldn't persuade her to stay in her bed. 

Both kids were back snuggled with Mom and Dad within an hour. 

Its a good start! 

Just like a ford...

At least Harlan knows how to push start. 

This can come in handy later.

Learning can be fun!

At least, we hope so! 

We are still doing preschool at home, and so far, 

we have been successful at learning and having fun!

Wavy's favorite assignment is definitely cutting and pasting. 

She is very good at cutting straight lines and squares.  

Of course, after she cuts all of her pictures out, 

we get to glue them! 

She is so smart.  She can figure out the puzzles all on her own.

We've even begun on rhyming words. 

She picked up on this right away and can choose 

the pictures that sound the same, 

or in our version, 

words that "sound funny together".

Wavy thought it was awesome that Mommy painted her toes to match! 

Nothing like a pedicure!
