Happy 4th Birthday, Abby Kate!

Abby turns 4!
We were all so excited to celebrate Abby's birthday.

She had a Build-a-Bear party!
All of her young girl friends came, and everyone got to build their own bear!

Wavy chose a pink bear, and we named her Snowy!
Wavy's favorite part was giving her bear a "bath" under the hair dryers and fluffing her fur.

Since this was Waverly's first trip to the mall,
we just had to stop at the Disney store!

She was in awe as she found all of her favorite Disney characters!

It sure was a fun day!

That's a Wrap!

This year, we made our own homemade wrapping paper.

We had fun, and it was a special surprise for our friends and family!

Brudder tried to eat some crayons...

But he got the hang of it!
Wavy and Mommy were proud that Harlan is learning to color!

Waverly loves any kind of art, so a gigantic piece of plain paper was the perfect canvas for her coloring!

And I mean GIGANTIC!

When Mommy unrolled this long piece of paper,
both kiddos were surprised!
Then, we dumped out all the crayons and had a giant coloring party.

Wavy learned how to make pretty curls and to draw happy faces...

And Brudder made his own happy faces!

This is one of my favorite Christmas projects this year.
Hopefully, we will make it a family tradition.
Meanwhile, let's wrap this up!

Sniff-Snuff-aluffagus

Harlan's had a little cold, so off to the doctor we go...
again...
to check on ears...
again...

Lucky us, Harlan hasn't had any ear infections to date,
but, he loves to tug and play on those cute ears.
That's his comfort measure.
Whenever we get signs of the sniffles and snuffles,
its always a worry to check on those baby ears.

All is well with just a cold,
so we will sniff and snuff for a few days and feel all better!

Don't be Square!

All of the squares for Harlan's baby quilt are ready!

The next step is to lay out the squares in order so that no 2 like squares are touching.

Good thing I had help from Wavy.  She likes to use her "Pattern Power!".

Baby, baby, it's baby quilting time...

As Harlan nears the one year old mark,
its time to start working on his baby quilt!

This is the hardest part, making squares out of all of Harlan's baby clothes from his first year.  But, I know that when finished into a quilt, those baby clothes are memories to last a lifetime!
