Cooking Together!

Since Waverly loves to bake and cook so much, we thought it was about time to teach brudder some kitchen tricks!

Waverly let him hold the bowl while she stirred the muffin mix and ingredients together.  She took turns stirring, but Mommy was helping Harlan instead of taking pictures.

So much fun to bake with kiddos.  They just have to get involved and "help"!
They have fun, and let's face it, I do too!

Ms. Katie's first day!

Waverly and Harlan are going to start staying with Ms. Katie (mommy's cousin) while Mommy and Daddy are working.  This is a great plan!  The kids will love playing with their little cousin Elli!

Harlan was so excited on his first day at Ms. Katie's that he fell fast asleep!

Elli shared her couch (and probably that banana!) with Wavy.
Elli's loving nick name has been Elli-bean and now Wavy calls herself Wavy-bean.
So adorable!  The girls play great together and I'm sure they will have lots of fun!

Harlan had a great day, too!
The kids really enjoyed playing at Ms. Katie's.  All these toys they hadn't seen before and a new place to get used to!  They had so much fun with Elli, I bet that everyone sleeps well tonight!

Just keep swimming, swimming

Nothing like a little fun in the sun!

Waverly likes having her slide into the pool.  She can go "super fast"!

She waits at the top...

then Ready, Set, Go!

And what a splash!

I guess blonds really do have more fun!
She has a blast out there swimming!

Fairy Tea Party

"Aunt" Katie had the best idea of a fairy tea party for Abby and her friends.
She practiced with Abby so that they could be very formal for the event.
Everyone dressed up and looked so very nice!

Waverly chose which dress she wanted from her bountiful closet.
At Abby's, she found the pretend curling iron and touched up her hair before the big tea party.

Waverly and Mommy made cupcakes for the party... Fairy inspired
Katie had the entire area decorated in pink and black.
All of the little girls were dressed up and ready for "tea" (aka... apple juice),
cupcakes, fancy dipped marshmallows, and homemade cookies in the shape of fairy shoes and crowns.

Ms. Abby Kate was a very good hostess!
She took excellent care of her guests.

Waiting for tea...

Wavy was the youngest girl there, but she did surprisingly great with her
real china tea cup and saucer.  There were no spills until after the "party" dispersed...
She was so very sweet and grown-up about her tea party.

Sipping tea!

Harlan was a little worried about being the only boy at the fairy tea party....

but then he realized there would be no competition for all the little girl's attention!
He had a great time!

Just like a guy...

Brudder is zoned in on the tv...

Since Wavy was sleeping in, Harlan had some alone time with the tv.
He loves to watch his Baby Eisenstein shows, especially the ones about animals.

He was really into this morning!
