Just My Mommy & Me

Last night, Daddy went to Laurel County for a truck tug!  That left just Mommy and Waverly at home for the night.  We had a great time together.  First, we stopped by McDonald's for happy meals and enjoyed every one of our "fry fries".  Then, we went home to play with Crissy and our toys.  After a bath, we settled down for night-night.  Waverly loves to lay her little head down on Mommy's belly.  I've been telling her that a baby is in there.  She likes to give my bump a kiss!

Daddy came home really late, but he told us he won third place!  Yay!  All around, it was a pretty great night!

Orange you growing fast?

Baby Bean is now the size of an orange!  That's about 4.0 inches and 2.5 ounces!

Baby Bean is really growing now-a-days!  Baby's legs are growing tall and gearing up for all that soccor playing in the future.  This week, baby is working on joint development and testing out new skills with wiggles and kicks!  Mommy can't feel anything more than a tickle right now, but that should be changing over the next couple weeks.

And how is Mom, you ask?
15 weeks (and one day!)

Mom is feeling great, though staying a bit tired.  We are sporting quite a baby bump these days!

Red, White & "Boom"!

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

Monday, Waverly and I snuck out for lunch at McDonald's and then went over to the grocery store.  We had fun buying cake mixes, icing and sprinkles to make cupcakes for our July 4th cookout.

This time, Waverly didn't want to help make the cupcakes, but she sure was impatient waiting for them to cool so she could eat one!
 Unable to resist the temptation...

 Almost...

Got it!

She did help with the red, white and blue sprinkles later though!

After our cupcakes were ready, we all went to Mamaw and Papaw's house!  Waverly was all dolled up for the 4th!

We had a great time!  We had grilled steaks, mango salad, taters and grilled veggies for dinner.  It was great to visit with the family for awhile!

Once it finally got dark, Daddy and Uncle Josh set off some "booms"!  Waverly really enjoys the fireworks, as long as Mommy holds her ears!  We had a great firework show!

Happy 4th of July!  Hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday!

Mamaw's Girl

Sunday, Mommy and Waverly went to Lexington to see Mamaw Gail and Gary!
They had a big cookout for all their friends.  It was a hot and humid day, so all the girls stayed inside to keep cool.  Waverly had a blast!

It was great to have a nice, long visit with Mamaw.  Waverly was definitely Mamaw's girl, all day long!  I think Mamaw bribed her with "blue blues" (aka blueberries)!

Waverly had fun talking on Mommy's "hello" (um, her name for all telephones, and some remote controls!).

But Waverly's favorite thing to do at Mamaw's house is to play on the stairs!  She loves to climb up, all the way to the top of the stair case.  The she turns around and plops down each stair one by one!  Her cackling and giggles soon have everyone laughing out loud!

Soon, Gary (aka "Go") had all the grillin' done and it was time to eat!  What fixins' we had!  Homemade tater salad and cole slaw, baked beans, hamburgers and hot dogs!  Plus, Mamaw had a chocolate cake with homemade cream cheese icing!  It was delicious!

At the end of the day, Waverly was sufficiently exhausted!  Since it was so hot, she got to "party naked" and ended up napping that way, too!  I love how she was courteous enough to cool her baby doll down by taking off her dress, too!

It was fun, fun, fun!

Best Friends

Saturday night, we began to celebrate the long weekend with a trip to the drive-in with our friends the McElroys.
Annie and Waverly were so excited to see each other!

We always get to the drive in super early.  We have dinner and chat while we wait for it to get dark.  The girls had the best time playing together!  You would think these two are sisters!

Waverly was all tickled waiting for the movie...

In true American style, the drive-in had a nice firework show for the 4th of July.  The girls were really excited!  Annie calls them "works" and kept pointing up, ready for the show!  Waverly calls them "boom" and shows everyone she is excited with spirit hands.  Our future cheerleaders...

Annie loved the fireworks.  Waverly did too, but she is happy to watch as long as her ears are covered up!  When the fireworks were "all done", both girls asked for "more"!

Silly girls!  They were ready for the movie to start!  We were all excited to see to Cars 2!

Night-Night Hugs & Kisses

Waverly soon fell asleep after the movie began, but Annie gave her Mommy and Daddy a run for their money!  She stayed awake to enjoy the show!

As always, we all had a great time and can't wait to go again!
