Tiny Dancer

Last night, Waverly was really enjoying dancing to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! At one point, she turned around to face us and was really getting her hoedown throwdown dance on! So, we just had to get the video camera out....

Ah, one day she will probably hate me for posting this... Hehehe!

Pickin' Wild Flowers

On Sunday, Waverly and I went for a stroll through the park!

What gorgeous weather!

We loaded up the stroller and took off! Mom wasn't quite prepared to push such a big stroller, with a big kiddo along that hilly path! It wore us both out, but was such fun!

After our walk, we stopped to smell the roses. Well, okay, the dandelions.

Waverly loved pickin' flowers. She thought it was so grand! She'd chose a dandelion, walk over to it, pick it and give it to Mommy. How sweet!

We had a whole bouquet of dandelions!

It was such a windy day, we didn't stay too long.

At one point, I thought the wind would just blow my baby away!

One more flower, Mom...

Color Me Happy

Mommy bought Waverly a coloring book and crayons this weekend. Of course, she's colored some before, here and there. But this is her very own, very first coloring book. She got the good Crayola crayons, too. We're not skimpy when it comes to crayons!
It must be so exciting to first learn to color. Waverly figured it out pretty quick.

She likes to scribble on each page a little at a time... no masterpiece is finished all at once!

I think she colored all day on Sunday...

As I would go room to room cleaning, Waverly would carry her book and crayons and follow me. She only forgot to color on the paper once... when she colored on the lid to the toilet instead!

I love how she gets all into it, just like a big kid!

Waverly did really well "cleaning up" after coloring, too. I gave her a little bowl to hold her crayons and she put them all in it all by herself. I hope this "I love to clean up" phase lasts!

Rock Out!

What a weekend!

This morning, Waverly decided to try on some hair bows.

She went through the whole box before deciding to wear one!

Later, we learned a new game...

Apparently, rocks are fascinating!

Waverly loved playing in the gravel so much, I didn't think I'd ever get her to come back inside the house! She'd carefully chose a rock, then pile them beside her one by one. She played clean up, too, placing each rock, one by one, back in the driveway!

She only tried to eat one once, but Mommy and Daddy told her no, so she put it down.

By the end of the day, Waverly could say "rock" (though 'ck' is a hard sound to make and her "rocks" come out as "rows" sometimes).

Daddy helped Waverly reach Harley. She kept climbing up so she could hug Harley's neck!
Dog!

Waverly knows to look for Harley when we pull in the driveway, now. She is always so excited to see her dogs. She's way too cute!

Just Foolin' Around

Happy April Fool's Day!

In celebration of a day of folly, Waverly and I made little sandwiches for her to share with her friends today.

Yum, Yum!

Hopefully, the kids will enjoy them this afternoon at snack! While they may look like a cheese sandwich, they are actually pieces of Angel Food cake with "cheese" colored icing! A sweet surprise! Waverly is excited to share her treats... Mommy also had a little joke for Waverly...
I hope when she gets older she thinks its funny!

And, in actuality, she likes helping with the laundry!
