Look my way

Waverly is such a morning person! She must get it from her
grandparents,
because Mommy and Daddy prefer sleeping in! She was all grins and giggles this morning. She loves "talking" and is getting really good at it. She will babble away the whole time we are getting ready, sometimes even carrying on during the car ride to day care. Its prime entertainment.

The center of attention!

Waverly loves her new hair bow! We thank our friend Roxy for sharing with us all of her cute things.

Waverly has been doing great, as always. She is learning new things every day and still surprises her parents with how smart she can be. She is trying to sit up in her bouncy chair now and will even grab the toy bar to help pull her self. She just can't quite get there, though its still too early I think for her to be sitting up.

She is getting better with her cereal and seems to really enjoy it. The trick is to get to her before she gets too hungry and then she will take it from a spoon. Otherwise, she will let you know to feed her right now! She is very determined to get what she wants.

Waverly is doing well at day care and is finally sleeping consistently in her crib. She is such a happy baby and will just smile at everyone. This morning, she was the center of attention. The little girls wanted to see her with her hair bow and the big girls even came over to say hi. Waverly told them all she was good in her sweet little way "I good!" and then smiled at everyone.

Mommy still visits Waverly every day at lunch time. Its the highlight of my day. She is always happy too see me and spend a little quality time together. We look forward to the weekend for plenty of playtime with her daddy!

Tiny Toes

All Happy!

Yesterday, Daddy taught Waverly all about her feet. She was so funny! Once she got a good look at them, she would grunt in frustration until she could make her hand get there to touch them. She is so smart!

I got it!

Reaching for my toes!

Since Waverly has now found her feet, we figure it wont be long before she is trying to put them in her mouth! So, I decided that it was time to paint those baby toes! I waited until she was sleeping, but even then our little squeaker is a wiggler. Now her little toes are painted a pearl pink. Adorable!!!

Last night, we visited with the family at Mamaw and Papaw's house. Uncle Josh held Waverly for the first time. It was very sweet!

Making Joshy laugh...

Waverly, all dolled up this morning.

So sweet, and only a little mischievious.

Little Bites

A tired Mommy and Waverly

For the past couple of days, we have been giving Waverly a tiny bit of thin rice cereal. She has mostly taken it from a bottle, but only after we have offered it to her on a spoon first. You just can't feed her fast enough with a spoon! However, last night, she did really well and took all of her cereal (not much, mind you) by spoon. She really wants to play with the spoon while eating, so I guess we will invest in a few spares so she can have her own spoon to hold. She is going to be very independent, I think!

What a mess!

Time for bed... Playing cat and mouse games and trying to
trick mommy into thinking I am out for the night. Ha!

Now sleeping like a baby.

I'm 3 Months Old!

Today my precious daughter turned THREE months old! It is hard to believe that three months have gone by, yet I can not remember life without her.

Waverly sleeping in...

Waverly has grown so much! She now weighs in at over 12 pounds. She can wear just about any 3-6 month old clothing, but some 6 month old clothes fit her well too. It just depends on the outfit and brand.

Waverly is doing many new things too. She is learning everyday and it is so wonderful to get to see that happening. She has made the most enchanting discovery - her hands! She will look at her little hand and wiggle her fingers, then bring her hands together and lock them up tight. She also likes to bring them to her mouth and have a little taste, which means that Mommy is often washing the baby's hands! She will often reach out, trying to make her hand go where she wants it. Much of the time now, she will make contact with a toy. She is also very good at pulling hair and grabbing hold of Mommy's shirt so she is certain that I'm not going anywhere.

Focused on a new toy - trying to figure it out...

Playtime - working with her hands and watching the mobile.

Waverly was all smiles this morning... I think she likes her hair bow!

Waverly loves to coo and goo. She makes a wet razzing sound that seems to amuse her, and still her favorite phrase is "I Good". Sometimes when she is fussy, she will say what seems to me to be "I Green". It is adorable!
'
Waverly is doing well at her daycare. She loves all of her teachers and just lights up for Ms. Sandra. Waverly spends time every day in the floor playing with her friends, in her bouncy chair and being held and rocked. She has also done better this past week sleeping in her crib! This is a good step in the right direction, since she had been fighting naps while at daycare. Thanks to a fuzzy blanket that Daddy bought for her, she seems to be sleeping better.
'
Waverly is just wonderful and we are enjoying her every second!!!

Working hard

We just can't resist letting Waverly try out her exer-saucer, though she is still too tiny to sit up in it well. Mamaw has a nice fluffly towel that does the trick. Waverly loves all the toys and activities.

Of course, she likes to smile up at her family when she is playing too, just to make sure she is the center of attention.

Our little one is very determined. This particular toy on the exer-saucer makes noises and talks when you push buttons or flip the pages on a book. Waverly concentrates so hard, trying to get that little hand to reach out there and touch the buttons. Her face just lights up when she makes contact and sets the bells and whistles off. She works so hard!
